Bipods

Since the beginning of the firearms shooters intend to use any kind of supports to make a shot. Nowadays it’s easier – we have bipod – handy and useful thing.

      Typically bipod for gun is made from durable aluminum alloy; also it can be made from steel as for RPK machine gun. For convenience bipod legs are telescopic (extendable), length could be up to 500 mm. Bipod mounts on Weaver or Picatinny rail or swivel.

      One of the brilliant design ideas is to combine fore grip with bipod and provide semiautomatic spreading mechanism. For this kind of parts two materials are used. Grip body – durable plastic and telescopic legs – aviation grade aluminum. This part can be mounted on Weaver/Picatinny rail by two nuts located on the left side. If required bipod legs extension performs in split second, one push of doubled button on the grip body – and you get support you needed. Retraction is also easy: you need to bring legs together and push them inside the grip body.
