Weaver rail “Kochevnik (nomad) 1”: quality, checked by professionals!
Unique and very popular scope rail “Kochevnik 1” is designed for “Kochevnik 1” scope and can replace original sight on Kalashnikov machine gun RPK, on AK-based Saiga carbines and most Vepr carbine versions. This scope was designed with direct involvement of active military operators.
Proven reliability
Specialists estimate Weaver rail Kochevnik1 reliability as absolute. Even after 1000 shots accuracy is the same. Tests were performed with EOTech 552 scope. This is the heavy red-dot scope, but results always were the same. It was achieved by extra-strong modern materials, simple design and reliable fixation.
Engineering solution
For this model was selected aviation-grade alloy V95, most tensile aluminum alloy. For protection was used ceramic, corrosion resistant coating “Corund” with 1000 micrometer thickness.
Weaver rail is milled. Retaining nut is made from hardened 45 steel with thin bluing.
Rail dimensions: 85х20, 9x17,3 mm without fixture. Weaver rail has 7 slots and 1,5 mm sight notch. Weight is only 50 g.
Application specific
It worth to mention the simplicity of rail fixation. Weaver rail in fixed by only one Allen key and not require drilling. It can be done in just 3-5 minutes. And this rail is acting as rear sight, allowing operator to choose way of aiming: iron sights or any type of red-dot scope.
