Selector lever saiga

Modified Selector lever Saiga based on standard version with improved selector tab. Fully adapted for “Saiga”. Now you do not need to change grip for gun lock. You can activate safety in less than one second.

Main improvements:

Lever now welded to the selector. Previously rivets and bolt where used, but they are less handy. With time joint start to play and need to be tightened.

Improved selector lever made from heat threated alloy steel. It’s more reliable, rigid and solid.

Other parts have advanced coating. Metal phosphatized to provide corrosion resistance. Then parts covered with special paint, which looks like brand new even after years of operation.

Why modified selector is more convenient?

Standard selector (safety) lever designed for right hand operation. And you have to break grip every time. It takes 2-3 seconds but it the field it could become an issue. Such a procedure is typical for army rifles when you changing selector position only once.

   But it could be an events when you’ll need this modified selector:

Modern application of “Saiga” requires fast arming. With standard selector in the field this 2-3 seconds are enough to miss a game. And at the big game such a delay could be dangerous for the hunter.

     For this reason many hunters travel with guns armed. And this is dangerous. One fall, catch or flick could cost life or health.

Installation of modified selector lever Saiga: step-by-step guide

Perform actions in this sequence:

-Check that carbine is clear.

-Disassemble it.

-Remove lockwork.

-Knock out pin. You can use piece of metal with appropriate size. Put your finger over spring to hold it in place (or it will fly away).

-Remove safety, ball and spring.

-Install modified selector and assemble other parts in the reverse order.

-Push on the safety spring and careful insert pin (it should move without undue effort).

Modified selector moves very easy. Long lever arm works faster and smoother than little standard button. Level appropriate located. You can control it with firing finger without breaking grip.

Can be installed in any “Saiga” version.
