Telescopic stock designed for AKM based carbines. It installs on Mil-Spec and has 6 length positions. To mount stock into frame provided metal adapter. AKM stock made from rigid plastic and has damping system ultimately suppressing recoil. Telescopic stock have check piece for shooting with optic. Provided 2 holes for QC sling swivel. And last but not least – rubber buttpad. This product has proven design for “Vepr” (AKM) carbines. Recoil is almost insensible.
For mounting at first you have to install adapter in carbine frame by press or with hammer and piece of wood. Then you will want to install retaining bolt holding adapter to the frame, for this adapter M4x10 mm bolts should be used. We would recommend using Loctite. After tube is installed in carbine frame lock it with retaining nut, but is also recommended to enhance lockup by retaining bolt which should be drilled through adapter into the tube (4.5 mm drill bit). Hole should be tapped (M5 tap). Apply Loctite on retaining bolt and screw it into hole. Now product is reliably fixed and ready to use.
AKM stock installation procedure
- remove old standard stock (remove screws and carefully push out wooden stock through frame)
- Old stock removed, now you have to prepare adapter installation kit
- Mounting adapter in carbine frame by hammer and piece of wood
