Saiga 410 magazine have 3 variants: 2 rounds, 4 rounds and 10 rounds. Most popular is 10 rounds magazine. There are few simple instructions from manufacturer about 10 rounds magazine for Saiga 410. First – when using plastic shells “Record” type you can load all 10 rounds, second – with steel shells made by Barnaul Cartridge plant it is recommended to load only 9 rounds in this magazine.

Saiga 410 magazine case molded from military-grade rigid plastic and because of this it’s light. Before using Saiga 410 10 rounds magazine you have to perform listed actions: Magazine spring could be too stiff, so follower pushes on shell too much and shell pushes too hard on ejector (this is not good). Solution is quite simple – you have to disassemble magazine and shorten spring by couple of turns. Also take a close look to follower – it is recommended to make mating surface and angle smoother by file (if required).
Magazine disassembly :
- push spring-loaded pin at the bottom of the magazine with flat screwdriver
- push bottom part and take out the spring
- smooth follower sides with file
